Gulf Geo has completed multiple projects at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility, a major manufacturing and assembly facility supporting NASA's exploration programs.
Our work has included York chiller repairs, sump pump replacement, air handling unit cleaning, and supply and return duct cleaning, along with additional mechanical and facility-related projects.
Gulf Geo continues to support projects at Michoud requiring coordination within an active federal facility and compliance with project-specific safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Gulf Geo has performed extensive HVAC system cleaning and related services throughout the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, one of the Department of Veterans Affairs' largest healthcare facilities.
Work has included cleaning HVAC ductwork, air handling equipment, diffusers and registers, exhaust systems, kitchen hoods, adjoining ductwork, and associated components throughout the approximately 1.6-million-square-foot active medical campus.
The multi-year project requires careful phasing and coordination with VA personnel to perform work throughout an operating hospital while minimizing disruption to patients, staff, and critical facility operations.

Gulf Geo performed mechanical system improvements at Buckley Space Force Base, including the replacement of gas valves within an active federal installation.
The project required careful coordination with facility personnel for site access, scheduling, system shutdowns, and execution of the work while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
Gulf Geo managed project coordination from pre-construction and site access through field execution and completion, demonstrating our ability to successfully perform specialized mechanical work within secure Department of Defense facilities.

Gulf Geo has successfully completed multiple projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers across federal facilities in several states. Our work has ranged from large-scale HVAC system cleaning and ductwork modifications to specialized mechanical equipment replacement within mission-critical facilities.
At Barkley Power Plant in Kuttawa, Kentucky, Gulf Geo performed the replacement of an existing 10-ton HVAC system serving the powerhouse. The project included removal and replacement of the air conditioning equipment, installation of external water-cooled condensers utilizing raw water from Barkley Lake, new controls, ductwork modifications, and replacement of associated raw-water piping, valves, strainers, and supporting components. The specialized system required coordination of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, and mechanical work within an active USACE power-generation facility.
Gulf Geo has also performed a multi-site HVAC system cleaning project encompassing eight USACE facilities throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Work included comprehensive cleaning of air handling units, supply, return and intake ductwork, registers and grilles, fans, motors, housings, and coils, along with mechanical modifications and fabrication and installation of new plenums and ductwork. The project also involved specialized environmental procedures associated with asbestos-containing materials.
Through these and other projects, Gulf Geo has demonstrated the ability to execute both multi-site service contracts and complex mechanical projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers while meeting federal requirements for safety, scheduling, documentation, quality control, and coordination.

Southeast louisiana veterans healthcare system

Gulf Geo has successfully completed multiple projects at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, a major VA medical campus encompassing approximately 1.6 million square feet.
Our work has included design-build modifications allowing HVAC systems to transition from normal recirculation to 100% outside air operation for pandemic response; replacement of hazardous HEPA filters; testing and calibration of analog and digital differential-pressure monitoring systems; comprehensive HVAC duct and ancillary equipment cleaning; and facility support services.
Projects have been performed within a fully operational healthcare environment and carefully phased around hospital operations to minimize disruption to patients, staff, and critical services.

Ames, Iowa
Water Infrastructure | Protective Coatings | Inspection & Testing | Federal Construction
Gulf Geo performed interior coating repair and restoration of a 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank at the USDA National Centers for Animal Health in Ames, Iowa.
The project included examination of the existing interior coating system; cleaning of the vertical stand/fill piping and tank interior as required; preparation, priming, and recoating of deteriorated interior surfaces; and coordination of third-party inspection and documentation.
Following completion of the coating work, the tank and standpipes were disinfected in accordance with applicable AWWA requirements and bacteriological testing was performed prior to returning the water tower to service.
The project required extensive coordination with USDA personnel, specialized confined-space and safety procedures, protection of an active federal campus, and compliance with applicable AWWA, OSHA, SSPC, and NACE requirements.
VA LOMA Linda healthcare system

Gulf Geo has successfully completed multiple projects at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, providing HVAC system cleaning and facility services within an active healthcare environment.
Our work has included a comprehensive HVAC duct cleaning project, providing cleaning of air distribution systems throughout the medical center while coordinating activities around ongoing patient care and facility operations.
Gulf Geo also performed a six-year vent and grille cleaning contract, providing recurring cleaning of approximately 4,500 supply diffusers and 1,500 return and exhaust grilles throughout the facility. The long-term project required detailed scheduling and coordination to safely perform work across occupied clinical and support spaces while minimizing disruption to patients and VA personnel.
In addition to our HVAC and indoor air quality work, Gulf Geo completed a fire sprinkler cleaning and maintenance project at the medical center. The scope included cleaning accumulated dust and debris from sprinkler heads, touch-up painting, replacement of escutcheons, and replacement of damaged or inoperable sprinkler heads.
Together, these projects demonstrate Gulf Geo's ability to successfully manage both recurring service contracts and specialized facility projects within a large, active VA healthcare environment, while maintaining the coordination, safety, quality, and responsiveness required for federal healthcare facilities.

Christwood retirement community

Energy Efficiency | LED Lighting | Engineering
Gulf Geo audited, designed, engineered, and implemented a comprehensive LED lighting conversion throughout the approximately 100,000-square-foot Christwood Retirement Community.
The project included interior lighting upgrades, new exterior pole lighting, and administration of applicable energy incentives and tax credits.
Because the campus includes independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, community spaces, and dining facilities, Gulf Geo implemented the project in phases to minimize disruption to residents and ongoing operations.

riverboat louis armstrong

Lighting Design | Energy Efficiency | Specialty Systems
Gulf Geo supported the transformation of a former riverboat casino into the Riverboat Louis Armstrong entertainment vessel.
Our team assessed, specified, and designed lighting systems throughout the vessel's three accessible decks. Improvements included color-changing LED marquee and accent lighting, specialized stage lighting capable of synchronization with sound, and other customized lighting features.
Gulf Geo also assisted with lighting upgrades aboard its sister vessel, the Creole Queen.

Energy Consulting | Utility Analysis | Energy Efficiency
Gulf Geo performed an extensive review of three years of utility usage and billing for the Port of New Orleans to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved energy performance.
The analysis evaluated utility rates, charges and fees, consumption patterns, and potential energy-efficiency measures. Through this process, Gulf Geo identified more than $2.3 million in potential energy savings opportunities.
